Metabolic Disorders Clinic

Metabolic disorders are genetic diseases that results improper breakdown of proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Due to improper breakdown several toxic intermediate byproducts are formed and could affect brain, kidney, liver etc. and causes fits, mental retardation, kidney failure, liver failure etc. Usually babies are born with disease and manifest within first year of life. There are more than 100 such metabolic disorders. Success of treatment lies with correct diagnosis and appropriate drug or dietary intervention. We have specialist clinic for children with metabolic disorders and few of the common metabolic disorders in India are glycogen storage disorders, tyrosinemia, maple syrup urine diseases etc.

Paediatric Intensive Care Unit

The paediatric intensive care consists of 18 beds, that is inclusive of 4 paediatric solid organ transplant beds and two bone marrow transplant beds and four HDU beds. The intensive care team provide local and international transport service.
